Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Structural Steel QC Inspector to ensure the highest standards of quality in our welding operations. This role is crucial in maintaining safety and efficiency in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety Compliance: Strive for zero accidents by adhering to all safety protocols and utilizing protective equipment. Proactively suggest safety improvements and report any incidents promptly.
  • Quality Assurance: Verify that fabricated components meet customer specifications and adhere to detailed drawings through rigorous testing and quality control measures.
  • Timely Operations: Ensure that production schedules are met to fulfill customer commitments efficiently.
  • Cost Efficiency: Optimize manufacturing processes to minimize costs while maintaining quality standards. Propose methods for enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Keep all tools and machinery in optimal working condition, reporting any issues immediately.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience in layout and welding.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting structural fabrication drawings.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to plan and execute welding operations effectively, minimizing distortion.
  • Familiarity with seismic weld applications and protected zones.
  • Alignment with company values and a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a self-starter attitude.
  • Capability to analyze data and draw conclusions with limited information.

Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Additional Information: Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in welding, cutting, and grinding in accordance with AWS D1.1 & D1.8 codes while ensuring high-quality standards. This position offers the opportunity for temp-to-permanent employment.
