Key Responsibilities:

As a Hospice Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing personal care to hospice patients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and maintaining hygiene
  • Changing bed linens and clothing as needed
  • Supporting family members in understanding and performing basic healthcare tasks
  • Regularly communicating with supervising registered nurses regarding patient progress and family needs

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

  1. A minimum of one year of full-time experience in direct client care within a healthcare facility
  2. One year of experience in direct client care in a home health or hospice environment within the last five years
  3. Completion of a training and competency evaluation program that adheres to federal and state regulations
  4. Current registration and good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry in the state of employment

Additionally, candidates must possess a valid state driver's license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation. The ability to recognize and respond to the needs of individuals, maintain positive relationships, and effectively communicate observations to supervisors is essential.
