Your Role:

The General Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the fitness center, ensuring that every member enjoys an exceptional experience in our welcoming environment. This position requires strong leadership to guide a team of employees, fostering a culture of support and continuous development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a welcoming atmosphere for all members, potential members, and guests, ensuring adherence to outstanding customer service standards.
  • Oversee daily operations of the fitness center.
  • Lead the team to establish and meet club objectives.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train high-caliber staff.
  • Delegate tasks to club personnel and enforce all operational policies and procedures.
  • Monitor club and employee performance metrics (weekly, monthly, annually).
  • Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
  • Guide and mentor team members through the disciplinary process when necessary.
  • Accurately handle retail transactions and drive sales initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year in customer service.
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Preferred educational background includes an associate or bachelor’s degree.
  • Willingness to obtain CPR/AED certification (training provided).
  • Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Suite).
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous communication in person or via phone during shifts.
  • Occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals during shifts.

Note: This position is contingent upon successful completion of a background check after acceptance of an offer. All background checks will be conducted in compliance with applicable laws.
