Job Summary:

A server at La Gorce Country Club ensures that all members and their guests receive exceptional service, taking orders and serving food and beverage requests promptly and courteously. This role requires a professional and courteous demeanor, with a focus on teamwork and achieving departmental vision and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding service to members and their guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Greet members and guests in all areas of the club and dining room with a warm smile, eye contact, and use of member's last name.
  • Know all menus and bar items, taking drink and food orders accurately by confirming preferences/modifiers.
  • Enter orders into the POS system with the use of correct table and seat numbers and member accounts.
  • Prepare and deliver member checks, confirming member's name, photo, and signature with POS information.
  • Remain productive throughout the shift with opening/closing/running side work, following opening/closing side work procedures.
  • Promote Club activities to members.
  • Follow proper steps of service as designated for each individual outlet.
  • Communicate to management any safety concerns or specific tools that are needed to enable them to do their job.
  • Perform clean-up and closing duties assigned by the manager.
  • Handle issues courteously and professionally.
  • Advises supervisor of any member/guest complaints so they can be immediately and professionally resolved.
  • Operate within all guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints as established by the company.
  • Other job-related duties as requested by the Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Must have at least two years of serving experience, country club, and/or fine dining experience preferred.
  • Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Professional appearance, good communication skills, demeanor, positive attitude.
  • Basic knowledge of wine, beer, spirits, and food is expected.
  • Ability to handle a POS system.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: SafeStaff, ServSafe preferred but not required.
