Job Description

RTX is seeking a highly skilled Digital Signal Processing Research Scientist to join our team in Arlington, VA. As a key member of our Research Center, you will be responsible for advancing FPGA design and development of prototypes to meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advance research and development of prototypes to meet customer requirements of special communication protocols to include real-time detection, filtering and tracking, array processing, and direction-finding targeting FPGA algorithmic instantiation.
  • Utilize your understanding of RF propagation, digital logic, digital circuitry, and computer architecture to implement efficient high-performance designs in FPGA applications for government customer technology demonstrations.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Computer Engineering (CE), Electrical Engineering (EE), or Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) or Bachelor's degree and minimum 2 years of professional experience.
  • Ability to obtain a government security clearance. US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Matlab and SIMULINK
  • Fundamental understanding of computer architecture, digital circuitry, and digital logic
  • Ability to independently execute responsibilities with limited review or supervision
  • Ability to take proactive action to anticipate, understand, and meet program and team needs
  • AMD and/or Intel FPGA development experience
  • Familiarity with high level tools (e.g. HDL Coder, HLS)
