Job Title: Field Engineer

Reputable General Engineering Contractor AppleOne Employment Services seeks a skilled Field Engineer to lead heavy civil structural projects. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years of related project management and/or estimating skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Production Scheduling: Coordinate and manage project timelines to ensure timely completion.
  • Project Submittals & RFI's: Handle and respond to project submittals and RFI's in a timely and professional manner.
  • Tracking Production & Inventory: Monitor and track production, inventory, subcontracts, and purchase orders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Coordinating Work Schedules: Coordinate and supervise varying work schedules, including day and night shifts.
  • Value Engineering Change Proposals: Draft and submit value engineering change proposals to optimize project costs and efficiency.
  • Reporting & Progress Billings: Submit daily reports and progress billings to stakeholders.
  • Quantity Take-Offs & Work Plans: Prepare quantity take-offs, work and traffic control plans, job and material billings, and review test results.
  • Project Schedule Updates: Prepare and submit project schedule updates to stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Project Managers, Subcontractors, Suppliers, DOT/Public Works Representatives, and other Prime Contractors to ensure successful project execution.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, mechanical engineering, or construction management. Other majors may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Skills: Well-qualified candidates will be able to read and understand project plans and specifications, as well as multi-task in a challenging construction environment. Prior experience in construction is desired, but not required.

Additional Requirements: Excellent computer skills, including strong Microsoft Excel skills, a willingness to learn, good organizational and time management skills, ability to work as a team, great communication skills (both verbal and written), enthusiasm, and ability to work without direct supervision are essential for this role.
