Role Summary

The Mortgage Operations Manager is tasked with supervising designated loan processing teams and enhancing operational processes within New Loan Submissions and Continuous Improvement initiatives. This role includes generating analytical reports, providing metrics to support sales leadership, and ensuring compliance with mortgage regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise the New Loan Submission process for all first mortgage loans, focusing on quality assurance, team training, and workflow optimization. Engage in effective coaching, cross-training, performance assessments, and staff recognition to foster a collaborative work environment. Time Allocation: 40%
  2. Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at achieving operational efficiencies, implementing best practices, and maintaining high service standards. Monitor the effectiveness of systems, workflows, and reporting to support mortgage lending. Time Allocation: 20%
  3. Oversee the performance and management of third-party vendors. Time Allocation: 15%
  4. Assist the Audit Department with necessary internal and external audits and examinations. Time Allocation: 10%
  5. Ensure accurate tracking and maintenance of expenses within the General Ledger, adhering to budgetary constraints. Time Allocation: 5%
  6. Engage in ongoing education to stay informed about mortgage operations, including RESPA, compliance guidelines, and competitive service initiatives. Time Allocation: 5%
  7. Represent Mortgage Operations on cross-functional project teams, ensuring alignment with sales management and operational leadership. Time Allocation: 5%
Qualifications

Educational Background
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience (four years) required.
Experience Requirements
  • Preferred: One or more years of managerial experience.
  • Required: Two years of experience in mortgage operations with a focus on portfolio and agency quality, including knowledge of State and Federal regulations.
