Position Overview: The Retail Relationship Banker plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding service to clients and potential customers. This position involves understanding customer needs and providing tailored financial solutions that align with their interests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively engage with clients to conduct needs assessments, fostering loyalty and identifying opportunities for future growth.
  • Assist customers in exploring various financial solutions, including everyday banking, investment options, lending products, and small business services.
  • Guide clients through digital banking options, ensuring a seamless and efficient banking experience.
  • Support transaction needs based on customer volume and branch activity.
  • Develop new relationships within the community to enhance business growth.
  • Address inquiries and resolve issues related to credit audits and compliance to ensure accurate lending practices.
  • Implement risk management strategies to safeguard the bank's assets and maintain portfolio quality.
  • Make informed credit recommendations for personal lending transactions, adhering to established policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with branch and market teams to achieve collective goals.
  • Integrate marketing initiatives into customer interactions to provide strategic insights.
  • Organize work to ensure accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
  • Continuously seek innovative ways to enhance the customer experience.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the branch through dedicated service and support.
  • May require flexibility to work across multiple branches based on operational needs.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of personal banking products and integrate this knowledge into customer discussions.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience with a post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Registration to sell investment products as required.
  • Appropriate lending qualifications and certifications.
  • Knowledge of personal and small business financial needs and solutions.
  • Familiarity with retail investment and lending products.
  • Experience in the financial services sector is advantageous.
  • Proficient in using digital tools and applications.
  • Background in consultative customer service or sales, with a focus on personalized experiences.
  • Strong commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to thrive in a team-based environment.
  • Self-motivated with the confidence to engage customers.
