About the Role

Cvent is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Mergers and Acquisitions team in Tysons Corner, VA or Dallas, TX. As a key member of our Finance department, you will play a critical role in post-merger integration activities and accounting processes related to ASC 606 revenue recognition and ASC 805 purchase accounting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Finance in due diligence efforts, including project management, idea generation, and transaction documentation.
  • Assist with accounting integration and implementation efforts for acquired companies, including transition of responsibilities and harmonization of accounting policies.
  • Collaborate with functional workstream leads to create and maintain integration checklists and activities across all deals.
  • Support business units with strategy development and execution of integration plans.
  • Develop integration lessons learned and adapt into future M&A activity.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business discipline with proven history of high achievement.
  • 4+ years of progressive financial and accounting related work experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Big Four accounting experience preferred with CPA designation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), including ASC 360, ASC 606, ASC 842, and ASC 805.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, with ability to produce clear reports and presentations.
