Core Responsibilities:
- Generate financial reports and analyses for external stakeholders and senior management, including monthly financial statements and annual audits
- Oversee budget monitoring to ensure compliance with authorized spending levels and accuracy of revenue projections
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of financial reporting, planning, and budgeting systems
- Maintain a thorough understanding of governmental accounting principles and best practices
- Manage financial control mechanisms to oversee project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure alignment with financial objectives
- Collaborate with management to identify project risks and implement effective risk mitigation strategies
- Coordinate with executive management and shareholders to collect financial data, analyze information, and produce accurate reports
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal company policies
- Work alongside external tax accountants to prepare quarterly estimates and annual returns
- Provide guidance and support to the Controller regarding financial planning, budget allocation, and risk assessment
- Serve as the liaison to DCAA and DCMA for financial matters
- Prepare the annual provisional indirect rate request and the Incurred Cost Submission (ICS) to DCAA
- Act as the liaison to the corporate bank for monthly, semi-annual, and annual reporting
- Collaborate with the corporation's insurance broker on non-benefit policies
- Assist with proposal pricing
- Safeguard operations by maintaining confidentiality of financial information and plans
- Work closely with the Controller and payroll department to ensure smooth operations and management of special projects, as assigned
