Microsoft Excel Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Excel Specialist to join our in-house marketing team at DXP Enterprises. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining complex Excel spreadsheets and databases, identifying data cleanup and missing data, and collaborating with the team to understand data requirements and provide Excel solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain complex Excel spreadsheets and databases for over forty brand lines
  • Identify data cleanup / missing data that needs to be populated to keep the product catalog as up to date as possible
  • Create and build product descriptions using raw data, concatenation and Meta Data for image and product titles
  • Use formulas to adjust pricing based on profit margins
  • Collaborate with team to understand data requirements and provide Excel solutions
  • Handle multiple manufacturer pricing updates throughout the year, comparing new price files with old price files and current item database to spot new additions
  • Train colleagues on Excel best practices and techniques
  • Provide administrative support for e-commerce platforms and sales operations, including order processing, customer service inquiries, and sales data analysis
  • Provide general support to our Marketing Department
Requirements:
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros required
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data accurately
  • Excellent attention to detail and exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks under time pressure when necessary
  • Adobe Creative Suite knowledge a plus
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar design applications is a plus
  • Experience with other Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint and Google Sheets is a plus
