Job Summary:

Empire State University is seeking a highly skilled and bilingual professional to join our Office of Enrollment Management and Marketing as a Bilingual Enrollment and Partnership Development Officer. This role is responsible for developing and implementing recruitment strategies to attract and enroll non-degree seeking students and Spanish Language Program prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment plan to meet application, acceptance, and enrollment targets for the Spanish Language Program.
  • Provide guidance and support to non-degree seeking prospects throughout the prospect to applicant lifecycle.
  • Identify and implement processes to effectively respond to event attendees, walk-ins, and CRM leads from prospective students.
  • Plan, participate in, and deliver information sessions for prospective students.
  • Represent SUNY Empire at conferences and other functions related to enrollment management.
  • Collaborate with the Office of Partnerships in the stewardship of partnerships and the recruitment of students from new and existing partners.
  • Participate in recruitment travel, representing SUNY Empire at college and career fairs and partnership information sessions.
  • Maintain telephone and electronic contact with potential new partners and other key connections.
  • Utilize enrollment data to evaluate and adjust the recruitment plan on an ongoing basis.
  • Schedule recruitment team meetings with regional partners across the Office of Enrollment Management.
  • Provide Spanish language translation assistance to the Recruitment team.
  • Develop and maintain a culture that supports teamwork, student success, and the mission of integrated enrollment services.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish and English.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective listening, probing, and assessment skills.
  • Experience working with data to analyze and evaluate outcomes.
  • Experience working with a diverse student population.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in higher education, business, or non-profit; related to marketing, communications, recruitment, admissions, development, or student affairs.
  • Experience in adult and non-traditional education.
  • Experience with CRM and other data management tools.
  • Prior knowledge of and experience in working with bilingual and emergent bilingual learners, particularly in online settings.
  • Prior experience working effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse linguistic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
