POSITION SUMMARY:

The Branch Operations Leadership Officer is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight in the development, execution, and maintenance of operational policies and procedures within the retail banking sector. This role serves as a crucial link between branch locations and operational support teams to enhance efficiency and elevate the Customer Experience. The Officer will supervise Branch Managers and manage daily operational challenges while ensuring the Retail Division receives the necessary support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Establish and uphold superior quality standards across all operational areas.
  2. Conduct assessments to identify operational inefficiencies and implement corrective measures through on-site branch evaluations.
  3. Research and identify industry best practices, making informed recommendations for necessary adjustments.
  4. Develop and monitor key performance indicators to optimize staffing and assist Branch Management in achieving targeted service levels.
  5. Identify and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and reducing non-interest expenses across branches.
  6. Collaborate with operations managers, branch managers, and internal auditors to formulate a comprehensive control strategy for all branches.
  7. Ensure adherence to corporate and regulatory standards (e.g., Know Your Customer, Anti-Money Laundering, Fraud Prevention) by establishing and monitoring operational protocols.
  8. Proactively identify trends and gaps, influencing strategic direction across the branch network and operational support functions.
  9. Challenge existing processes and advocate for change as a proactive change agent.
  10. Implement and sustain branch operations policies and procedures through regular meetings and training initiatives.
  11. Ensure operational excellence by managing daily, weekly, and monthly control processes to achieve successful branch audits.
  12. Evaluate the physical condition of branches and compliance with the ATC Look guide, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
  13. Oversee branch compliance training to ensure 100% completion rates.
  14. Partner with branch managers to consistently enhance the Customer Experience.
  15. Collaborate with Security teams on matters related to fraud and robberies.
  16. Exhibit leadership qualities in alignment with ATC's Leadership Behaviors.
  17. Conduct quarterly visits to branches to assess operations, continuity, and policy adherence.
  18. Coach teams to meet operational scorecard objectives.
  19. Serve as a subject matter expert on Horizon.
  20. Support and understand all sales, service, and operational initiatives.
  21. Lead the Branch Management team, conducting performance reviews and addressing issues or opportunities as they arise, while recognizing achievements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A High School Diploma or GED is required. A bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and at least 3 years in branch management is required, with 5 years preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and external personnel. Normal daily physical activities include walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to read reports and utilize a computer. Occasionally required to lift 20-30 pounds (files, cash drawer, etc.).
