Compensation: $80,000 - $110,000, Exempt - Full Time
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Branch Operations Leadership Officer is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight in the formulation, execution, and maintenance of operational policies and procedures within the branch network. This role serves as a crucial link between branch locations and operational support teams to enhance efficiency and improve the Customer Experience. The officer will supervise Branch Managers and manage daily operational challenges and support within the Retail Division.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish and uphold superior quality standards across all operational aspects.
- Conduct assessments to identify operational inefficiencies and implement corrective measures through direct branch engagement.
- Research and recommend industry best practices, facilitating necessary operational adjustments.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators to optimize staffing and assist Branch Management in achieving targeted service levels.
- Identify and execute process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and reducing non-interest expenses across branches.
- Collaborate with operations managers, branch managers, and internal auditors to create a comprehensive control strategy for all branches.
- Ensure adherence to corporate and regulatory standards (e.g., Know Your Customer, Anti-Money Laundering, Fraud Prevention) by establishing and overseeing operational processes.
- Proactively identify trends and gaps, influencing strategic direction across the branch network and operational support functions.
- Challenge existing practices and drive transformative change as a proactive change agent.
- Implement and uphold branch operational policies and procedures through regular meetings and training initiatives.
- Ensure operational excellence by managing routine branch control processes to guarantee successful audits.
- Evaluate the physical condition of branches and compliance with appearance standards, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
- Oversee branch compliance training to ensure 100% completion rates.
- Partner with branch managers to consistently enhance the Customer Experience.
- Collaborate with Security teams on issues related to fraud and robberies.
- Exhibit leadership in alignment with organizational Leadership Behaviors.
- Conduct quarterly branch evaluations to assess operations, continuity, and policy compliance.
- Coach teams towards achieving operational scorecard objectives.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on operational systems.
- Support and understand all sales, service, and operational initiatives.
- Lead the Branch Management team, conducting performance reviews and addressing issues or opportunities as they arise, while recognizing achievements.
- *Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A High School Diploma or GED is required. A bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required, including at least 3 years in branch management, with 5 years preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and external personnel. Normal daily physical activities include walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to read reports and utilize a computer. Occasionally required to lift 20-30 pounds (files, cash drawer, etc.).
