Key responsibilities include analyzing patient or MD requests, coordinating accurate instruction and information exchange, and identifying and determining the order of appropriate insurance(s) listed on the account. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in telephone and written communications, with the ability to translate accurate payer eligibility returns to aid Patient Accounts in preventing bad debt or denials.

Additional requirements include entering accurate ICD 9 Code(s) when scheduling and rescheduling, following strict federal medical necessity standards, and performing registration, authorization/referral retrieval for outpatient testing/appointments. A strong typing ability and experience in hospital Meditech Scheduling and Admitting functions are also preferred.

The successful candidate will possess a high school graduate or equivalent, with two years of college or equivalent work experience preferred. Medical Terminology is required, and the ability to understand and speak Spanish is desired. A professional presentation with exceptional customer service skills, including oral, written, and telephone communication, is essential for this role.

Key qualifications include:
