Job Requirements:

The Medical Social Worker is responsible for providing medical social services through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role requires the ability to exercise independent judgement, demonstrate interpersonal skills, and maintain confidential information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient needs and develop plans to meet those needs
  • Provide advisory services to other professionals involved in patient care
  • Participate in the development of the Medical Social Service Program
  • Ability to assemble records and present data in a report form
  • Willingness to be flexible regarding work hours

Requirements:

  • MUST HAVE LICSW OR LSW WITH HOME HEALTH AND TRAVEL EXPERIENCE
  • 1+ years CURRENT experience as a Medical Social Worker in a healthcare setting
  • Community Health experience preferred
  • MASTER's or DOCTORATE degree required
  • Current licensure and certification as licensed, independent, certified social worker (LICSW) by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Division of Registration in Social Work
  • Knowledge of current principles and practices of medical social work
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply public health principles and practices
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision/assistance
  • Active and valid driver license

Important Notes:

  • Traveler must be willing to work July 4 and Labor Day holidays, including weekends before (If Needed/Scheduled)
  • RTO during these holidays will not be approved
  • NO MORE THAN 5 DAYS OF RTO WILL BE ACCEPTED
