Job Title: Healthcare Liaison

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated professional to work as a Healthcare Liaison. The role involves performing complex clerical, secretarial, and communication duties, and serving as the agency liaison with numerous insurance companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Clinical Supervisor, Utilization Specialist, and Clinical Staff in organizing and tracking negotiated visit frequency and rates.
  • Perform complex clerical, secretarial, and communication duties.
  • Serve as the agency liaison with numerous insurance companies.

Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to distinguish between decisions made independently using a pre-designed plan and those requiring coordination with a registered clinician or manager.
  • Effective and accurate communication in English, both verbally and in writing, including medical terminology.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of clients, staff, and records.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
  • Capability to deal effectively with stress.
  • Ability to work effectively with frequent interruptions.
  • Accurate handling of multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.

Submission Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college, executive secretarial, or business courses strongly preferred.
  • Thorough working knowledge of health insurance issues and coverage.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Typing and general secretarial skills.
  • Computer experience (Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PtCt, Meditech).
  • One year of experience in a busy, complex medical office or equivalent.
  • Home health experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate 100% accurate transcription of medical terminology.
  • Active and valid driver's license.

  • 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment.
