Overview:
Responsible for taking food and beverage orders and delivering them efficiently to guests at the convention center.

Key Responsibilities:


Warmly welcome guests in the banquet area; efficiently take food and beverage orders while adhering to established service protocols.

Deliver food in a timely and professional manner while upholding safe food handling and sanitation practices. Regularly check in with guests to assist with any additional needs or requests.
Possess a thorough understanding of menu items and ingredients. Provide recommendations for food and drink pairings when asked; accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences. Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order delivery and accommodate special requests.
Exhibit excellent communication skills and maintain a positive rapport with guests and colleagues. Stay flexible and patient when interacting with guests and team members.
Handle tickets and adhere to proper cash-handling protocols.
Promote a clean, safe, and organized environment for guests.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding any personal or medical information shared.
Address complaints or issues promptly; relay pertinent information or concerns to a supervisor.

Ensure the dining area is properly set up before and after service; keep the space clean and organized while meeting sanitation standards.

Operate various equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, and coffee makers.
Collaborate with staff from other departments to fulfill job responsibilities during special events and functions.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
