Join a leading organization in the biotechnology sector as a Quality Assurance Chemist. This role is essential for ensuring the integrity and quality of products through rigorous testing and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough testing of incoming raw materials in accordance with industry standards such as USP, EP, or ACS Reagent Index.
• Perform a variety of analytical chemistry assays including HPLC, GC, and GC/MS, as well as wet chemistry techniques.
• Analyze in-process and finished product samples, stability samples, and R&D samples utilizing advanced instrumentation and methodologies such as:
- HPLC
- GC & GC/MS
- UV/Vis Spectrophotometry
- FTIR Spectrophotometry
- Titrations
- Viscosity measurements
- pH and TOC analysis
• Ensure compliance with Good Documentation Practices by maintaining accurate records and reviewing the work of peers.
• Collaborate with Research & Development teams to establish and refine testing methods for new products.
• Engage in method qualification, validation, and optimization in line with industry best practices.
• Address procedural deviations and nonconformities, conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Maintain up-to-date training on all relevant procedures and participate in skills development activities.
• Conduct routine maintenance on laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related Physical Science.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in testing within FDA-regulated environments.
• Familiarity with GMP and ISO regulations is essential.
• Proficient in HPLC and GC analyses, with prior experience in method development and validation.
• Competence in using basic laboratory instruments including UV/Vis and FTIR spectrophotometers.
• Skilled in various wet chemistry techniques such as titrations and compendial identification testing.
• Strong commitment to exceeding performance expectations and achieving goals.
• Flexibility to work varied hours to fulfill job responsibilities.

Desired Skills:
• Experience with advanced laboratory equipment such as viscometers and TOC analyzers.
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, results-driven environment.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
• Experience with data management and basic graphing is advantageous.
