Environmental (NEPA) Specialist Job Description

STV Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled Environmental (NEPA) Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our environmental team, you will work on a wide range of environmental projects, collaborating with mid-level and senior environmental professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of environmental projects, including mapping and data analysis.
  • Perform GIS data analysis, including feasibility and constraints analysis.
  • Create high-quality mapping and data products.
  • Collaborate with project managers and technical staff on mapping, data management, and project tasks.
  • Assist with gathering data and preparing environmental report documentation under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
  • Support technical studies, including noise/air, waters, and biological studies, community impacts, environmental justice, land use, and hazardous materials.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Planning, Biology, Geographic Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 1-4 years of professional experience.
  • 1 year of experience using Esri ArcGIS software, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of ArcGIS Online, StoryMaps, and Dashboards.
  • Strong data management and organization skills.
  • Familiarity with cartographic methods and ability to read and understand maps.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and effectively communicate with others.
