The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the general maintenance of our facilities, equipment, and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee Daily Operations: Manage the day-to-day activities of the maintenance department, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Staff Management: Supervise maintenance workers, assign tasks, and evaluate their performance to ensure that work meets quality standards.
  • Facilities Assessment: Conduct regular assessments of our facilities to identify maintenance or repair needs.
  • Critical Issue Escalation: Escalate critical issues to management and recommend solutions to ensure minimal disruption to our operations.
  • Work Scheduling: Develop and implement work schedules to ensure that maintenance and repair work is completed on time.
  • Maintenance Procedures: Develop and maintain maintenance procedures and schedules to ensure that our facilities and equipment are properly maintained.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that maintenance and repair work is completed to the highest quality standards.
  • Departmental Budgeting: Assist with budgeting and cost estimation for maintenance and repair projects.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of tools, supplies, and parts, and recommend purchases to the maintenance manager.
  • 5S Program: Implement and maintain a 5S program to ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Support Lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
  • Staff Development: Recruit, select, train, and develop a competent maintenance team.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure that the maintenance team adheres to safety regulations and policies.
  • Company Policies: Ensure that the maintenance team follows all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of progressively responsible work experience in a high-volume, process manufacturing environment, with previous maintenance experience.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of modern manufacturing principles, including Lean and Six Sigma, and experience with Total Productive Maintenance systems.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance, with prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
