Position Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of our facilities, ensuring that all systems and equipment are functioning optimally. This role involves managing a team of maintenance professionals who handle various tasks including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry work. The manager will assess maintenance needs, develop work schedules, and ensure that all projects meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct the daily functions of the maintenance team.
  • Assign tasks and manage the work schedule for maintenance personnel.
  • Evaluate facilities to identify maintenance and repair needs.
  • Report critical issues to upper management and propose effective solutions.
  • Plan work assignments and project timelines based on system assessments.
  • Create and implement maintenance procedures and schedules.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Assist in preparing departmental budget estimates and project costs.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and parts, and provide procurement lists to management.
  • Implement and uphold a 5S program to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Support initiatives related to Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and company policies.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a skilled maintenance team.
  • Enforce safety regulations and ensure a secure working environment.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in mechanics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
  • Experience with automated machinery operation and maintenance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with modern manufacturing practices such as Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance systems is preferred.
  • Ability to physically navigate the facility to assess and address maintenance issues.
  • Must be capable of performing physical repairs as necessary.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
