The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and directing the daily operations and maintenance tasks of the maintenance crew. This includes the planning, scheduling, and execution of preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively within a cross-functional team, develop and implement effective maintenance strategies, and provide technical guidance in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations
  • Offer technical support and expertise to the maintenance team
  • Design, implement, and enhance a preventative maintenance program that includes both preventative tasks and predictive techniques, along with critical spare parts identification and procurement
    • Utilize SAP to build the program and analyze data for improvement opportunities
  • Investigate and assess causes of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) losses and implement cost-effective solutions to mitigate these issues
  • Lead outage planning meetings and actively track and report on outage progress
  • Identify and act on opportunities for performance enhancement
  • Take proactive measures to prevent equipment failures and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness
  • Conduct improvement team meetings focused on identifying root causes of equipment malfunctions and implementing corrective actions
  • Collaborate with engineering resources for the execution of capital expenditure or major projects
  • Review and update preventative maintenance plans regularly
  • Work with Supervisors to create work plans that align with reliability improvement goals
  • Educate and train on tribology methods to prevent oil cross-contamination and ensure appropriate lubricants are used
  • Ensure adherence to thermography, oil analysis, and vibration analysis programs, directing the Maintenance Supervisor when urgent issues arise
  • Plan and manage outage tasks and timelines using project management methodologies

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Over 10 years of engineering maintenance experience, particularly in chemical manufacturing
  • Proficiency in the SAP Maintenance module
  • Familiarity with pumps and rotating machinery is essential
  • Experience in developing or managing maintenance programs is necessary
  • In-depth knowledge of Failure Analysis Techniques
  • Strong understanding of maintenance techniques and systems
  • Awareness of national and international engineering standards
