Position Overview
This role is designated for the 2nd Shift Weeknight schedule, operating on a 4/10 workweek. A shift differential will be applicable for this position.

Position Summary
The Aerospace Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for evaluating and confirming the airworthiness of aircraft, systems, components, and parts in accordance with established specifications and regulatory standards. This includes conducting thorough preflight and post-flight evaluations while ensuring all inspection documentation is meticulously completed. The inspector will utilize approved schematics, FAA regulations, and other relevant specifications.

Key Responsibilities
1. Execute comprehensive aircraft inspections, ensuring compliance with documentation requirements throughout the inspection process.
2. Generate detailed reports on maintenance activities and supplier performance, including:
   - Status of rejected or non-compliant parts
   - Identifying information for parts provided
   - Quantities and discrepancies
   - Technical performance evaluations and recommendations.
3. Conduct stock re-inspections and shipping inspections.
4. Monitor and validate quality assurance processes in line with established control measures.
5. Ensure that all inspections are conducted in accordance with internal protocols and FAA regulations.
6. Organize and maintain work orders and inspection records for easy retrieval by the Chief Inspector.
7. Perform preliminary, hidden damage, continuity, and final inspections on repaired items.
8. Review inspections on aircraft and components to assess the quality of work and adherence to standards.
9. Conduct random audits of work packages to ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations.
10. Undertake self-audits of internal quality systems and respond to customer audit requests.
11. Assist the Chief Inspector in analyzing quality data to develop improved methods and systems for Quality Assurance.
12. Engage in special projects and assignments as directed by the Chief Inspector.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred: Associate's Degree in Aviation
- A&P License is desirable.

Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as an aircraft A&P Mechanic.
- Previous experience in inspection roles within aerospace quality systems compliant with FAA standards.
- Proficient in using and interpreting precision measurement instruments.

Working Conditions:
- Ability to maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA and EPA standards.
- Must be capable of wearing a respirator as per OSHA regulations without restrictions.
- Subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with FAA regulations.
