KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the Recreational Sports team to advance physical fitness, sportsmanship, and wellness through exceptional recreational offerings.
  • Report directly to the Assistant Director of Sports Clubs in a full-time administrative capacity.
  • Oversee the university's athletic club initiatives, managing over 30 competitive teams and supporting more than 1,400 student athletes.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities within the department and broader organization.
  • Compensation for this position ranges from $43,000 to $48,000, complemented by a robust benefits package that includes health coverage, paid time off, retirement plans, tuition assistance, and various discounts.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Recreation, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in an athletic or recreational administrative environment.
  • A strong commitment to student development and a dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Proficiency in budget oversight.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a talent for relationship building.
  • Familiarity with computer applications for document creation, data management, and analysis.
  • Strong organizational abilities, including time management and multitasking.
  • Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree in Sports Management, Higher Education, Recreation, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in collegiate athletics or recreational programming.
  • Experience in student advising within higher education.
  • Supervisory experience is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of sports management software and marketing strategies.
  • Experience managing social media platforms.
