This full-time internship opportunity is designed to equip individuals with the essential skills needed to advance their careers in the field of academic support for student-athletes. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Student Athlete Academic Support Services (SAASS), the Academic Support Coordinator will collaborate with the SAASS team to provide academic assistance to designated football student-athletes. Responsibilities include monitoring the academic progress of assigned student-athletes in accordance with university and NCAA eligibility standards. Additionally, the Coordinator will assist in the recruitment process of prospective student-athletes. Flexibility in scheduling, including evenings and weekends, is required for this position.

Required Qualifications

A completed or actively pursued master's degree in a related field, or equivalent training and experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the capability to generate written reports.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with various stakeholders in a time-sensitive environment.
A commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Capability to work independently as well as part of a cohesive team.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with NCAA eligibility regulations.
Experience in providing academic support services to student-athletes.

Compensation

Pay Band: 4
Hourly Rate: $20.03
