Job Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced On-Set VFX Supervisor in Los Angeles for a six-week booking on an episodic project. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in on-set VFX experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage client expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed scripts and VFX breakdowns for discussion with the production team.
  • Participate in tech scouts with the shooting crew to ensure seamless execution.
  • Provide on-set reference and HDRI photos as needed to support the visual effects process.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director and DP to ensure artistic vision is met.
  • Make informed, timely decisions on set to maximize shot success and plan for potential issues.
  • Manage day-to-day developments between the set and studio during production.
  • Communicate client direction and provide regular updates on on-set progress to the in-house VFX Supervisor.
  • Provide artistic and technical supervision throughout pre-production.
  • Deliver daily 'end of day' reports back to the studio.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of on-set VFX experience is mandatory.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Script breakdown and bidding experience is a requirement.
  • Extensive client management experience is necessary.
  • Experience in both episodic and feature film projects is an asset.
  • Los Angeles locals are preferred, as relocation costs will not be covered by Zoic Studios.
