Senior Visual Effects Artist

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior VFX Artist to spearhead the development of captivating visual effects for our projects. As a key member of our team, you'll collaborate closely with the Art Manager and Art Director to execute and enhance the VFX style of our games.
Key Responsibilities- Work with the Director of Art Management and Art Director to set the art style and craft high-quality real-time visual effects;
- Collaborate with production to establish timelines and milestones, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining project tracking within Jira;
- Research and analyze current and emerging visual effect trends and technology, collecting reference materials to support the visual quality and style for the VFX team;
- Create clear and accurate technical writing and documentation regarding VFX production, used by other artists;
- Work closely with graphic engineers to develop new or improve upon existing technologies to enhance visual effect quality;
- Collaborate with design and gameplay teams to create visual effects that support gameplay systems;
- Oversee all aspects of the VFX pipeline, from concept to final, polished result.
- 5+ years of professional experience with at least 1 shipped AAA title or equivalent work in a related field;
- Proactive with a strong attention to detail, meticulous and organized working habits, with the ability to multi-task and adapt easily to change;
- Expert knowledge of job-related tools and software (Unity, Houdini, Photoshop, After Effects, Maya, etc.) and good drawing skills;
- Experience leading, mentoring, and inspiring internal VFX teams and supervising outsource VFX partners;
- Excellent written and verbal skills;
- Mobile and PC game development experience;
- Passion for games and knowledge of the games industry;
- Expert understanding of Unity's Shuriken particle systems, Timelines and Animation systems, component architecture, and prefabs;
- A working knowledge of script behaviors and custom components;
- Expert understanding of material, texture, mesh, and particle manipulation using particles, vertex streams, custom data;
- Expert knowledge of shader creation and optimization specifically for mobile devices, with knowledge of HLSL a plus.
