Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audio Visual Technical Supervisor to lead our technical team and ensure the smooth operation of audio visual equipment at our hotel/convention center. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and breaking down audio visual equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and break down audio visual equipment for events and meetings
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly and efficiently
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Lead the technical team to ensure operational efficiencies and customer satisfaction
  • Participate in location administrative duties in support of onsite operations and for career development
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. audio visual technology, hospitality, or a related field)
  • 3-5 years of experience in audio visual technology or a related field
  • Technical 1-Star Certification (internal applicants) or ability to obtain within 60 days of start date (external applicants)
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment

This role will be performed in a hotel/convention center environment with moderate exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members will use high-end audio-visual equipment and electrical components and will be exposed to heights via lifts and ladders. Team members may be asked to work in multiple hotel locations. Working times will include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
