Position Summary:

The role involves supporting clients with Bodor Laser products, providing expert technical guidance and after-sales assistance in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison for clients, delivering direct support for laser systems via phone, email, chat, and on-site visits.
  • Assist customers and personnel in diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues with laser systems.
  • Monitor technical inquiries and requests from clients.
  • Manage schedules and follow up with clients to ensure optimal utilization of laser systems.
  • Conduct mechanical repairs on laser systems at client locations, assessing the need for specialized resources or parts.
  • Interpret layout drawings and blueprints for equipment installation.
  • Maintain an inventory of replacement parts, ensuring availability through effective communication with clients, staff, vendors, and manufacturers.
  • Identify and address safety concerns related to the machinery.
  • Provide training sessions for clients.
  • Document service and expense reports accurately.
  • Perform failure analysis and recommend upgrades as necessary.
  • Support the final integration and commissioning of complex automation projects when required.
  • Assist with heavy mechanical operations, such as loading and unloading equipment as needed.
  • Travel regularly within designated territories.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in mechatronics, automation engineering, mechanical/electrical engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience with automated CNC machinery.
  • Recent hands-on experience in the installation, repair, and troubleshooting of automated CNC systems.
  • Familiarity with engineering software, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and testing equipment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven technical writing abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and remote communication tools.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated and accountable.
  • Able to perform under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary (local and domestic).
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in mechatronics, automation engineering, or electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience with automated CNC or fiber laser systems.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is an advantage.
