Summary:

Generations Home Care is seeking empathetic caregivers to provide essential home care services to clients in the Kingston area and surrounding Kitsap County. We welcome applications from Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Home Care Aides (HCA), or individuals willing to obtain certification within 200 days of employment (support provided). Comprehensive training and orientation will be offered to all staff members.

This position focuses on meeting the specific needs of a client residing in Kingston. Once hired, caregivers may also have the opportunity to assist other clients. The client requires care from 10 am to 10 pm, needing standby assistance due to fall risks while using a walker. Additionally, companionship and respite care for the spouse are essential. The household is pet-free.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly wage ranging from $19 to $21, based on certification status
  • Bi-monthly pay schedule on the 10th and 25th

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including grooming, bathing, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments and other necessary activities
  • Support clients with mobility, transportation, and errands
  • Follow safety protocols and medical guidelines
  • Monitor medication intake and report any discrepancies
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
  • Provide emotional support to clients and their families

Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage app-based technology for care plans and time tracking
  • Capability to follow care plan instructions and adhere to medical protocols
  • Physical ability to lift over 25 pounds
  • CNA/HCA certification or willingness to obtain one within 200 days of hire
  • Strong time management skills
  • Must successfully pass a background check
  • Preferred CPR/First Aid certification
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and their families
