Position Overview: Carry out various responsibilities primarily focused on housekeeping and maintenance tasks to enhance the appearance and functionality of our facilities.
Assist staff with event-related needs, including setup and breakdown.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of designated buildings or event spaces.
    Utilize appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies to uphold cleanliness standards.
    Manage inventory for cleaning supplies.
  • Prepare and dismantle rooms for meetings, events, and organizational functions in assigned areas.
    Review event schedules and requirements to ensure proper setup.
    Provide assistance and direction as necessary.
  • Coordinate with event staff to ensure all activities meet the highest standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address any issues.
  • Receive and distribute deliveries to designated locations.
  • Facilitate access for service personnel and direct them to necessary areas.
  • Perform minor repairs on doors, furniture, and small equipment.
    Assist in moving heavy items as needed.
  • Disconnect alarm systems during designated hours, where applicable.
  • Report safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
    Notify relevant staff of any maintenance issues, including heating, cooling, plumbing, or electrical concerns.
  • Adhere to procedures outlined in the Facilities Maintenance handbook.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
At least 2 years of full-time experience in custodial services is preferred.
Basic knowledge of building maintenance techniques is required.
Ability to handle tools and equipment commonly used in custodial work is essential.
Exposure to bloodborne pathogens may occur in this role.
Optional vaccination (Hepatitis B) will be provided.
Certification in First Aid and CPR is required (training will be provided).
OSHA forklift certification may be requested; prior forklift experience is advantageous.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications is beneficial.

  • Physical Requirements: Regular physical activity is required, including limited lifting (up to 75 lbs. with assistance), bending, climbing (up to 12 ft.), standing (up to 7 hours daily), and walking.
    Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment is necessary.
  • Work Environment: Duties are performed both indoors and outdoors within the facilities.
  • Equipment: General custodial equipment, carts, hand trucks, and other maintenance tools.
  • Schedule: This position may require occasional evening and weekend hours depending on assignments.
