About the Role:
As a key member of the Radiology Department at St. John's Riverside Hospital, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our imaging services. Under the direct supervision of the Radiology Director or designee, you will perform a variety of tasks to support our technologists and patients.
Responsibilities:
- Transport patients to and from imaging areas, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Assist with clerical duties, including answering phones, scanning paperwork, and burning CDs.
- Provide support to technical staff, including moving patients to and from stretchers and wheelchairs.
- Deliver supplies, paperwork, and other essential items to and from locations throughout the hospital.
- Perform routine office duties, such as answering phones, documenting patient information, and using medical data systems.
- Act as a resource and precept new staff as required.
- Transfer patients, call for patients, and perform other related duties as needed.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic computer skills and good typing ability.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and data systems, such as Meditech/PAC's, preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced patient-focused environment.
- Must be able to observe and respect patient confidentiality.
- Bi-lingual skills (Spanish/English) preferred.
