Radiographer - Radiology Department Leader

Job Summary
NYC Health + Hospitals is seeking a skilled Radiographer to lead our Radiology team. As a Radiology Department Leader, you will be responsible for supervising and guiding Radiographers and Radiology staff. Your daily tasks will include monitoring staff attendance, reporting to the manager on any issues, and coordinating services within the Radiology Department and with other departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide guidance to Radiographers and Radiology staff
- Monitor staff attendance and report any issues to the manager
- Coordinate services within the Radiology Department and with other departments
- Attend hospital-wide meetings and internal Radiology meetings
- Run the Status Report in EPIC daily and resolve any issues listed
- Prepare and distribute reports, including the Morning Room Assignments and Tour to Tour turnover report
- Plan and train Radiographers in the use of DX modalities
- Ensure staff completes mandatory training
Requirements
- Valid license and current registration to practice Diagnostic Radiography as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the NYSDOH
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
