Job Overview

PRIMARY ROLE: The Front Desk Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the seamless flow of clients entering and exiting the facility. This role involves collaboration with program personnel to manage the intake of packages and other items brought into the site. Additionally, the Front Desk Coordinator trains and supervises clients who assist at the reception desk during off-peak hours.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the reception area on the first floor, ensuring proper control of all individuals entering the premises.
  • Welcome visitors, ascertain the purpose of their visit, and connect them with the relevant staff member.
  • Ensure visitors complete the confidentiality agreement upon arrival.
  • Meet clients returning from external activities, inspecting any items or packages they bring back.
  • Monitor clients' behavior to identify any signs of intoxication.
  • Document clients' return times in the designated log.
  • Regulate clients' re-entry into the program as necessary.
  • Oversee live video surveillance, staying alert to activities outside the facility.
  • Maintain situational awareness and report any unusual occurrences.
  • Handle incoming phone calls, directing them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Receive and distribute mail or packages to the correct staff members.
  • Administer and track Metrocards for clients with approved travel plans.
  • Assist in the daily AFIS Finger Imaging process for clients.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM

SALARY: $38,000 - $39,000 annually

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED required. Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
