**Job Overview**

The Asante organization is seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Patient Safety Monitor. This position primarily involves providing a safe environment for patients through visual observation. The patient safety monitoring process is initiated and ordered by the attending physician or per hospital policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the healthcare delivery team by monitoring patient activities as directed by primary nurse, always ensuring patient safety.
  • Documenting observations in the patient's electronic medical record.
  • Participating in education and Performance Improvement activities to provide quality service and stay current with industry changes.

Position Qualifications:

  • Previous work or volunteer experience in customer service type tasks, such as answering questions and communicating information is required.
  • BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified by American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start.
  • Asante Crisis Intervention course must be completed within 30 days of hire.
  • Asante Safe Patient Handling course must be completed within 30 days of hire.
