Responsibilities:

POSITION SUMMARY
:

This role is focused on driving profitable sales growth and ensuring customer satisfaction with designated domestic Food Ingredient clients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serve as the primary account contact responsible for increasing profitable sales volume and maintaining key accounts.
Engage in prospecting, qualifying, and acquiring new clients.
Conduct thorough research on existing customers and prospects to ensure a tailored sales approach.
Generate and respond to customer inquiries to promote product sales.
Develop and implement strategic key account plans that include portfolio strategies aimed at maximizing profitable business growth.
Proactively communicate product features, benefits, pricing, and availability.
Possess a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics and contracting methods (e.g., Urner Barry, Grain Based, etc.).
Facilitate effective communication with customers regarding all administrative aspects of quotations and agreements/contracts.
Manage contracts throughout their duration, including renewals and annual adjustments.

Collaborate with internal teams to meet service level expectations and maintain visibility of contractual obligations and customer demand.

Respond effectively to customer inquiries or provide resources for technical support, logistics, and other relevant information.

Monitor sales trends, take corrective actions, and deliver general reporting to highlight key account performance.
Create an annual business plan and provide updated volume projections as necessary.
Assist in the introduction of new products.
Accurately forecast monthly demand/results by customer and product category.
Stay informed about developments and opportunities within the Food Ingredients industry.
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date CRM database.
Travel may be required up to 40%.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
A minimum of 5 years of sales management experience in the food sector.
Experience in selling both commodity and value-added products.
Experience in supply chain and project management.
Strong oral and written communication skills, along with problem-solving and analytical abilities.
A highly motivated individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Computer skills required:

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:


A minimum of 5 years of outside sales and customer interaction experience in food sales; a background in food science and/or product development is preferred; experience in selling commodity and value-added products.

Experience in egg-based food ingredient sales and established customer relationships is preferred.
