Robot Deployment Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our robot deployment efforts and work closely with our partners to ensure seamless integration of our products into their operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve the user experience, deploying more robots, and ensuring our robots deliver value to our customers.

You will work closely with our engineering team to identify feature developments and recommend future products. Additionally, you will support the engineering team by leading day-to-day operations, debugging, and troubleshooting on the robots. Your expertise will be essential in establishing a deep understanding of our customers' needs, priorities, and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploying robots to the field and working with our partners to ensure safe and accurate work
  • Collaborating with the engineering team to identify and reproduce bugs
  • Maintaining equipment, electronics, and sensors
  • Assisting in testing robots in our facility
  • Serving as a liaison between operations and engineering
  • Installing sensors and other components on equipment
  • Developing best practices for operations and preventative maintenance
  • Ensuring our facilities and tools are consistently kept in tidy, safe, and presentable condition
  • Developing knowledge of solar pile driving and related construction activities
  • Representing the Built Robotics brand in the field and working with our customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience working with, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment and machinery
  • Excellent hands-on technical ability, including prototype design and fabrication, soldering, metalworking, and woodworking
  • Strong communication skills, especially with operators and customers
  • Rigorous attention to detail
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work in new situations, pick up new skills, and do what it takes to get the job done
  • Ability to drive trucks, operate heavy equipment, and lift 60 lbs
  • Willingness to travel weekly to the field
  • Valid US driver's license
