Campaigns and Government Affairs Advocate

Evergreen Action is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Campaigns and Government Affairs Advocate to lead our advocacy efforts on key climate issues. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with federal decision-makers, drive impactful campaigns, and navigate political challenges to advance bold climate policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Engage with federal policymakers to build and manage relationships with key Congressional offices and federal agencies.
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for issue-based campaigns, ensuring coordination across Evergreen Action departments.
- Collaborate with coalition partners to establish and strengthen relationships with climate justice organizations, labor unions, and other advocacy groups.
- Represent Evergreen Action publicly, participating in or leading coalition meetings and webinars to build our profile and amplify key issues.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments to stay updated on relevant climate legislation, regulatory actions, and partner priorities.
- 5+ years of federal government affairs experience, ideally in lobbying or advocacy roles.
- Familiarity with Congressional processes, agency rulemaking, and climate policy is a plus.
- Proven ability to lead campaigns, develop and manage issue-based campaigns, and drive measurable outcomes.
- Strong relationships with policymakers, existing contacts in Congress or federal agencies are highly valued.
- Strategic thinking, ability to quickly adapt to shifting priorities, identify opportunities, and deliver results under tight timelines.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to articulate complex climate policies to diverse audiences.
