Government Affairs Compliance Specialist

The Government Affairs Compliance Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the health care company's compliance with lobbying transparency regulations in various jurisdictions globally. This position will also oversee the management of the company's Political Action Committee.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure all lobbying activities and reporting obligations adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
- Aggregate, maintain, and submit accurate and timely lobbying reports in compliance with relevant laws and rules for US Federal, US States, Canada, EMEA, ASIA, GCA, and LATAM.
- Manage outside firms/consultants to ensure efficient data collection, aggregation, and reporting.
- Monitor and analyze new and existing lobbying and transparency laws and regulations.
- Manage the Political Action Committee for the health care company, including:
- Day-to-day management of the PAC.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with members of Congress, relevant staff, and professional fundraisers.
- Preparing solicitation materials, member correspondence, and applicable in-person events.
- Monitoring and updating the PAC website as appropriate.
- Accurately preparing and filing monthly FEC and assigned Lobbying Disclosure reports on a timely basis.
- Establishing proficiency in PAC-related data entry.
- Oversight and management of the PAC Board.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Seven (7+) years of experience in compliance administration or with Government Affairs consultants/law firms.
- Preferred qualifications include:
- Healthcare experience.
- Strong working knowledge of administration of laws, regulations, guidelines, and standards for covering lobbying compliance and lobbying disclosure on all levels of government for the US.
- Experience in managing outside counsel, consultants, and budgets.
- Experience and knowledge of how governments at all levels work or with specialized consultants or law firms in lobby compliance.
