Job Title: Senior Manager, Federal Government Affairs

SEMA is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our government relations efforts in Washington, D.C. As Senior Manager, Federal Government Affairs, you will be responsible for analyzing federal legislation and regulations, communicating with members, and advocating for the industry's interests on Capitol Hill.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze federal legislative and regulatory proposals
  • Develop positions and initiate activities in support of SEMA's position on federal legislative and regulatory proposals
  • Prepare and disseminate information to member companies and auto enthusiasts
  • Build relationships with lawmakers and regulators
  • Represent SEMA at congressional fundraisers

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of Capitol Hill experience, executive branch/federal agency, and/or trade association/corporation
  • Experience with the legislative and regulatory process
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Research and analytical skills relevant to government affairs
