Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care and coordination in our Lung Transplant Program. The successful candidate will have a strong background in pulmonary and thoracic surgery, with experience in transplant patient care. The ideal candidate will be a team player, with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Coordinate patient care, including scheduling, testing, and follow-up appointments.
  • Collaborate with the transplant team, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and implement patient education programs, including discharge planning and resource utilization.
  • Manage and improve systems to provide information on patient care and changes in clinical status.
  • Utilize electronic medical records and other information technologies to support patient care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts.
  • At least 2 years of experience in pulmonary, thoracic surgery, and/or transplant patient care.
  • Recent ambulatory experience strongly preferred.
  • Telephone triage experience preferred.
  • Prior inpatient/step-down/ICU care experience preferred.
