Hours Per Day: 7 Hours

Compensation Structure:
New hires will be compensated at $22.00 per hour, with internal candidates earning between $22.00 and $26.29 per hour.

Key Responsibilities and Goals:

  • The Secondary Special Education support staff assists in addressing the educational, behavioral, social-emotional, physical, and daily living requirements of middle and high school students with disabilities in diverse settings.
  • Aids in the administration of assessments, multimedia tasks, recordkeeping, technology operation, discipline, and other educational activities.
  • May assist in the lifting and transportation of students, along with daily living tasks such as toileting, feeding, and personal hygiene as per training and guidance.
Required Knowledge, Experience, & Qualifications:

  • Some roles may necessitate the transportation of students, thus requiring a valid Colorado driver's license, auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
  • Provides educational support for students with emotional disabilities, focusing on behavioral, social, and academic skill development.
  • Must possess the ability to meet the physical demands of the role, with or without accommodations.
