Position Overview

The Lead Technical Sales Advisor will collaborate with sales, technical, and legal teams to provide insights on technical and privacy standards. This role is crucial in delivering support for unique enterprise-level software and service solutions tailored to various clients. The Lead Technical Sales Advisor will assist legal, business, and policy teams on privacy and security-related legal matters, including partnerships, acquisitions, integrations, and other business development initiatives.

As a key member of our team, you will excel in a collaborative setting, working closely with colleagues to achieve shared objectives. The Lead Technical Sales Advisor is expected to quickly adapt, utilizing strong troubleshooting and innovative problem-solving skills. This position requires the ability to work independently with high energy, enthusiasm, and adaptability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance on technical aspects of pre-sales documentation and assess risks associated with new matters through a resolution-oriented approach.
  • Offer specialized consultation, review, and revisions to essential pre-sales documents (MSA, LOE, NDA, DPA, etc.).
  • Advise on compliance with global privacy laws and regulations, including data protection, retention, security, and breach protocols.
  • Deliver all necessary legal, technical, and subject matter expertise to support pre-sales functions within FTI's Technology segment.
  • Identify and create innovative solutions to meet customer needs while managing expectations throughout the pre-sales agreement process.
  • Gather business and technical information from clients regarding their requirements, aligning them with FTI's solution contracting.

Qualifications for Success

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and Juris Doctorate.
  • 5+ years of post-graduate professional experience in contract/agreement review and creation, consulting, or pre-sales.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel to clients and FTI offices as necessary.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Membership in at least one US state bar.
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical, client-facing role such as sales engineer or consultant.
  • Experience in privacy law.
  • Familiarity with software and technology in the legal IT sector, particularly in e-discovery.
