The Financial Investment Advisor Level I plays a crucial role in enhancing the telephonic outreach within designated regions, complementing the sales initiatives led by the territory's Vice President of Investment Consulting. This role is pivotal in formulating strategies aimed at broadening Calamos' market presence within the assigned territories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieves sales objectives as established by Sales and Distribution Management through proactive engagement methods including phone outreach, email communication, and virtual meetings.
- Organizes daily activities and manages multiple tasks related to outbound calls, projects, campaigns, and incoming inquiries. Identifies and follows up on leads generated from referrals, marketing initiatives, and regional outreach.
- Acquires in-depth knowledge of Calamos' investment strategies and products across various channels, while staying informed about competitive offerings.
- Strengthens and nurtures relationships through effective and proactive communication, ensuring timely follow-ups and addressing specific inquiries or account issues.
- Records all interactions daily in the CRM system, including inbound/outbound calls, voicemails, emails, and virtual meetings.
- Utilizes third-party databases such as Russell and Morningstar Direct to deliver tailored sales solutions to financial advisors.
- Continuously works to enhance existing relationships with financial advisors, divisional and regional representatives, and analysts to amplify our value-added support and their sales to Calamos.
- Employs comprehensive lists for contacting advisors and consistently reaches out to promote strategies that are not currently utilized.
- Regularly seeks referrals or prospects from top-performing advisors to establish new advisor relationships.
- Maintains an accurate and up-to-date database of advisors and branch networks.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- A Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the Financial Services sector is required.
- Possession of Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, Series 63, and 6/7 licenses is preferred.
- Ability to engage in extensive phone communication on a daily basis.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with superior sales abilities and a strong client service orientation.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and quickly adapt to new tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and sales database applications.
