Job Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator provides support for all aspects of the human resources function and has primary responsibility for all HR transactions related to both the Auxiliary & Business Services (ABS) and the Public Safety (PS) Divisions. Reporting to, and in close coordination with, the ABS Sr. HR Manager, the HR Coordinator is responsible for initiating and processing all HR transactions, serves as the primary administrator for recruitments in the assigned divisions, coordinates all onboarding procedures, maintains all personnel files, and support HR project work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide human resources administrative support and/or knowledge of HR principles and best practices.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Experience working with and maintaining confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Able to dependably follow through on assigned tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills to include a patient and friendly demeanor.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and web applications.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with a self-motivated work ethic.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a highly collaborative and supportive team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related area of study.
  • Related HR certifications.
  • Work experience in a higher education environment.
  • Experience using an HR Information System (e.g. Banner, Work Day, etc.).
  • Experience analyzing data and generating reports in MS Excel.
