Job Summary

DecisionPoint | Cortek is seeking a highly skilled Help Desk Technician III to join our team. As a key member of our IT support team, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support and leadership within the help desk team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Technician: Oversee help desk operations and ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Technical Support: Provide advanced technical support to users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise the work of Level I and II technicians, providing guidance and training as necessary.
  • System Recommendations: Recommend system modifications to improve performance and reduce user problems.
  • Issue Documentation: Document, track, and monitor all issues in the help desk system, ensuring full resolution.
  • Collaboration: Work with network services, software systems engineering, and applications development teams to resolve core issues.
  • Support Levels: Perform second-tier and third-tier support as necessary for complex problems.
Requirements
  • Active Secret Clearance: Must have an active Secret Clearance.
  • Technical Experience: Minimum 6 years of functional/technical experience in IT support roles.
  • Education: High School Diploma or Associate's Degree (preferred) with relevant certifications.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to train and guide junior technicians.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Certification: Requires IAT Level II Certification as defined in DODD and AFMAN.
