Position Overview:

We are seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated team at HealthPro Heritage. This role is essential in delivering high-quality rehabilitation services to our residents, ensuring their recovery and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Administer physical therapy interventions as outlined in the treatment plans created by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  2. Support the Physical Therapist during assessments, evaluations, and intricate treatment methodologies.
  3. Monitor, document, and communicate resident conditions, responses, and progress to the supervising therapist.
  4. Maintain accurate records of treatments and progress notes as per the therapist's directives.
  5. Assist in the initial screening of new admissions.
  6. Collaborate with the therapist in consultations with family members and other healthcare professionals.
  7. Contribute to the upkeep of the physical therapy department and its equipment.
  8. Participate in training sessions and meetings as assigned by the Physical Therapist.
  9. Engage in continuing education to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
  10. Adhere to all regulatory and professional standards, ensuring compliance with healthcare guidelines.
  11. Attend and contribute to rehabilitation team meetings regarding resident care and progress.
  12. Follow facility policies and engage in quality improvement initiatives.
  13. Perform additional duties as required.
  14. Understand various payer reimbursement processes and allocate therapy resources effectively to meet resident goals.
  15. Demonstrate knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines.
  16. Uphold the company’s commitment to compassionate care and maintain a professional demeanor.
  17. Work independently while recognizing when direct supervision is necessary, and assist colleagues as needed.
  18. Meet expected productivity levels as discussed for your role.

Qualifications:

  1. Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  2. Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of practice.
  3. Preferred experience in a similar healthcare setting.
  4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Ability to follow directions from the Physical Therapist and adhere to facility policies.
  6. Capability to perform physical tasks such as standing, pushing, lifting, stooping, reaching, and balancing safely.
