Career Development:
Devereux proudly offers ASCEND, a unique career accelerator program designed to provide behavioral healthcare professionals with the guidance, coaching, skills, and financial support necessary to achieve their career aspirations. This program includes full tuition coverage (up to $15,000 annually for undergraduate studies and $25,000 for graduate studies) and student loan repayment options, among other benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals participating in our programs.
- Supervise, coach, and assist individuals in developing daily living skills, including food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and documentation of programs tailored to meet the social, emotional, physical, and personal needs of individuals.
- Plan and engage in community-based job opportunities, volunteer activities, and outings for individuals.
- Schedule and provide transportation for individuals to and from programs.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum age of 21 years
- A High School Diploma or GED
- A valid driver's license
- Preferred experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or as a caregiver
- Empathy and a collaborative approach to care
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Energy, creativity, and a sense of humor
- Ability to attend ten days of paid in-house orientation on weekdays
- Capability to lift 50+ pounds and perform Safe and Positive Approaches
- Comfort with hands-on hygiene care, including diapering and showering.
