Product Development and Sourcing Director

bJob Description/bbrbrAt Boston Proper, we're seeking a highly skilled bDirector, Product Development and Sourcing/b to lead our global sourcing strategy. This role is responsible for developing and implementing a strategy that supports our product strategies while ensuring top-line financial and business objectives are achieved.brbrbKey Responsibilities:/bbr Develop and optimize global sourcing strategy to align with product strategies.br Align sourcing countries and vendors to achieve key performance indicators (gross sales, item mark-up, average unit cost, on-time delivery, returns rates).br Provide in-season costing strategies by leveraging unit volume, fabric consolidation, and style consolidation.br Partner with design, merchant partners, and planning on pre-season and in-season research & development targets, goals, and objectives to ensure efforts align with fiscal and event targets.br Drive adherence to calendar milestones and deliverables while making recommendations and callouts regarding meeting cadence, process improvements, and efforts to drive efficient use of the team's time.br Own vendor relationships and build and develop high-performing teams.br Build and foster relationships with design, technical design, and merchant partners to lead in a collaborative style and communicate in an engaging and impactful manner.brbrbExperience/Requirements:/bbr Bachelor's Degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or Textiles preferred.br 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in apparel product development, sourcing, and manufacturing.br 5+ years of leading direct reports and cross-functional teams.br Demonstrated business savvy through analytical thinking, problem-solving with in-depth knowledge of key performance indicators.br Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; proven ability to think innovatively and strategically.br Deep technical product knowledge including strong understanding of vendor operations, safety, product compliance, creative, and product development processes.br Demonstrated experience leading and influencing change and ability to work independently, set priorities, and timelines, and meet challenging and changing deadlines.brbrbCompany Benefits:/bbr 401k with company match.br Competitive Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life/ADD Insurance.br Flexible and generous Paid Time Off policy.br Merchandise Discount.br Company Bonus.br Pet Insurance.br Boston Proper Values.br Team loves to work hard and have fun
